Bosnian War Session

The History Alive organizers are happy to announce that a fifth session has been added to the CHS History Alive Program: The Bosnian War. This session is intended for our sophomore level, World/US II history students. The primary goal of this session is to breathe life into our study of the past, get back to learning from our elders, and expand Clayton's world history curriculum. We are also striving to shine a spotlight of the history of the Bosnian War and celebrate Bosnian culture.

The Bosnian students at Clayton will play an active role in the development of this project. Family members will be attending the event as speakers. Students will serve as translators when needed. Also, all of our Bosnian students will be invited to the session to expand their knowledge of the history and contribute with their own stories.
Please contact me if you are interested in participating, observing, or contributing to this project. This year we are piloting the session with a couple classes with the hopes of expanding it to full capacity in the years to come.
Please feel free to contact Brad Durnell, teacher and organizer of the History Alive Program, with any questions at bradleydurnell@claytonschools.net or (314) 489-9326.
